ADA Compliant Kitchen & Home

The unique challenge for Spogue Kitchens and Bath was to design an ADA-compliant kitchen in Mainline, PA, for a client who needed the space to be wheelchair accessible. Careful considerations were taken into account including cabinets to have automated control functions for opening and closing, lowering the countertops for ease of use, as well as increasing the space around the island and cabinets.

In collaboration with Dakota Dawn Delineation (Contractor) and Floss Barber Interior Design, the glass elevator built provided the client with easy access to all areas of the home, including the second floor, basement, and outdoor pool. A seated lift was also designed to transport the client safely from the master bedroom to the bathroom with the use of a remote control.

The beautiful and airy custom-built home, with a 30-foot ceiling and floor to ceiling windows in the great room, is adorned with personal art and eclectic artifacts to complement the modern and industrial design.
